Barbeque Sauce 1

Linda’s Low Carb Menus & Recipes

¼ cup butter

¼ cup granulated Splenda or equivalent liquid Splenda

¼ tsp garlic powder

½ tsp onion powder

1 tsp. Salt

1 tsp dry mustard

1 tsp paprika

1 tsp chili powder

½ tsp pepper

1 1/2 cups water

¼ cup cider vinegar

1 Tbsp Worcestershire Sauce

6 oz can tomato paste

1 Tbsp liquid smoke

Mix first 13 ingredients in a medium pot. Bring to a light boil, then simmer 20 minutes. Whisk in the tomato paste and liquid smoke. Simmer an additional 10 minutes.

Makes about 2 ¼ cups sauce.

Per 2 TBSP: 59 calories, 5 gm fat, 1 gm protein, 4 gm carbohydrates, 1 gm dietary fiber, 3 net carbs
