Lemon Basil Green Beans

These are really delicious!

1 lb green beans

1 tbsp butter

1 tsp lemon zest

¼ tsp salt

¼ tsp pepper

¼ cup basil leaves thinly sliced (Chiffonade)

Bring a large pot of lightly salted water to a boil.

Cook green beans 5 to 6 minutes until barely tender.

Drain into a colander.

In the same pot, over medium heat, melt the butter.

Add green beans, lemon zest, salt and pepper; stir to coat.

Remove from heat.

Toss with basil and serve immediately.

Notes: 3.5 gm. carbohydrates
